Responsibilities

• Advise insurers and reinsurers on complex specialty insurance and reinsurance matters, including coverage analysis, claims issues, and policy wording drafting and review.

• Manage high-value and multi-jurisdictional disputes, including arbitration, working closely with other insurance practices.

• Lead projects and matters, contributing to client relationships, business development, and the strategic growth of the insurance team.

• Collaborate with colleagues across contentious and non-contentious insurance sectors, including Energy, ensuring consistent, high-quality legal advice.

• Maintain oversight of matters using project management tools, tracking progress, deadlines, and deliverables for complex insurance portfolios.

Requirements

• 2-5 years' post-qualification experience in insurance law, with strong expertise in insurance coverage advisory work and policy wordings.

• Proven experience handling complex, high-value disputes, including arbitration; multi-jurisdictional exposure is highly advantageous.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage matters and coordinate teams independently.

• Excellent commercial awareness, attention to detail, and commitment to building a long-term career in a top-tier Legal 500 firm.

• Experience in specialty insurance products is desirable but not essential.
