About this role

Are you a Clinical Negligence or Catastrophic Injury lawyer ready for your next move?

This is a permanent position offering the opportunity to work within a highly regarded Clinical Negligence and Catastrophic Injury team. As a Solicitor (NQ-3 PQE), you will manage your own caseload of spinal cord injury claims arising from medical negligence, while assisting Senior Solicitors on more complex and high-value cases. You will be given the chance to take on increasing day-to-day responsibility for matters, supported by experienced senior lawyers who provide ongoing supervision and mentoring.

Over time, your caseload will naturally evolve into a broader mix of medical negligence and personal injury claims. Full training and guidance will be provided to ensure a smooth transition, particularly if your background has focused more heavily on clinical negligence work.

This role offers an outstanding platform to develop expertise in catastrophic injury claims, supported by a team with extensive experience in spinal cord injury litigation. While the team operates from the firm's London City office, most lawyers work predominantly from home, benefiting from a flexible hybrid model that promotes excellent client service while maintaining a strong work-life balance.

The Role:

  • Manage your own caseload: Run a range of clinical negligence and spinal injury claims, with training provided for those new to spinal cord injury work.
  • High-value exposure: Assist senior lawyers on complex, multi-million-pound catastrophic injury cases while developing your technical expertise.
  • Career development: Work within a structured, full-service team that prioritises mentoring, learning, and progression.

About You:

  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (NQ-3 PQE): Experienced in handling or assisting with high-value medical negligence claims. Prior exposure to spinal cord injury cases is desirable, though full training will be provided.
  • Personal Injury Experience: A background or strong interest in personal injury matters will be beneficial, supporting the long-term development of this role.
  • Client-Focused: Empathetic and professional, with excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to helping clients during difficult times.
  • Collaborative & Proactive: A team-oriented individual with a hands-on approach, willing to contribute to wider team objectives and support colleagues as needed.
  • Flexible Working Approach: Offered on a full-time basis, though alternative working patterns and hybrid arrangements are open for consideration.

Benefits:

  • Inclusive Culture: Open, diverse, and collaborative environment built around shared values and principles that promote individuality and authenticity.
  • Career Development: A true career firm offering continuous personal growth opportunities, mentoring, and clear progression pathways as part of its long-term growth strategy.
  • Hybrid & Flexible Working: Support for hybrid arrangements and flexible work patterns to help you achieve the right balance between professional and personal life.
  • Generous Leave & Benefits: 28 day's annual leave, plus private medical insurance, income protection, life assurance, a firm wide bonus scheme, and a comprehensive pension plan.
  • Supportive Environment: A people-focused culture that values well-being, collaboration, and consistency of experience across all teams.
