Service Charge Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Service Charge Accountant for a 5-month contract to support our client's finance team on backlog of outstanding residential service charge reconciliation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing service charge accounts for residential and/or commercial properties, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare annual service charge accounts and reconciliation statements.

• Liaise with asset, property and facility managers to resolve queries.

• Ensure service charge income and expenditure are accurately recorded.

• Assist in budgeting and forecasting for service charge costs.

• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation (e.g., Landlord and Tenant Act, RICS guidelines).

• Respond to leaseholder and stakeholder queries professionally and promptly.

This is an umbrella only contract and requires 3 days per week on client site in London.
