Senior Locum - Family Child Care (12-month FTC)

An award-winning, Legal 500-ranked London firm is seeking an experienced Senior Locum Solicitor to join its highly regarded Family & Children Law team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This role offers the chance to work on high-impact and sensitive cases in both private and public children law, alongside respected specialists in the field. You'll have the opportunity to lead on complex matters, supervise junior lawyers, and contribute to the continued strength of a top-performing department.

The role will involve:

• Running a varied caseload of private and public children matters
• Advising on adoption, abduction, and international family law issues
• Supervising and mentoring junior team members
• Applying comprehensive knowledge of Legal Aid and family practice

What we're looking for:

• 10-20 years' PQE in family/children law (or equivalent)
• Children Law Accreditation Panel membership (essential)
• Resolution specialist accreditation in both private and public children law (essential)
• Proven Legal Aid expertise
• Strong client care, leadership, and collaboration skills

Desirable (not essential):

• ICACU membership and cross-border abduction experience
• Law Society Advanced Family accreditation
• Broader experience across family law matters
