An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a talented Senior Associate Solicitor to join a highly regarded Family & Relationships department within a prestigious central London law firm. This firm is consistently ranked in the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners for its outstanding family law practice and is recognised for handling some of the most complex, high-value family matters in the market.

The Role


You will play a central role in advising on a wide spectrum of family law issues, with a strong emphasis on complex financial remedy work for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. You will work closely with Partners and senior colleagues, taking on high levels of responsibility in both contentious and non-contentious matters.
This is a career-enhancing role for a commercially minded, solutions-driven solicitor eager to develop within an award-winning, collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising on a variety of family law matters, including financial remedies and private children disputes.
  • Preparing legal documents such as Forms E, Questionnaires, ES1/ES2, witness statements, draft orders, and instructions to experts.
  • Attending and representing clients at court hearings, FDRs, and interim applications.
  • Providing clear, strategic advice to clients on risks, options, and dispute resolution strategies.
  • Managing a complex caseload with accuracy, professionalism, and discretion.
  • Mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to the professional growth of the team.
  • Supporting business development initiatives, including writing articles, attending seminars, and contributing to podcasts.

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years' PQE in family law.
  • Proven expertise in financial remedy work and contested family proceedings.
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Commercially astute with a client-focused approach.
  • Confident in litigation and alternative dispute resolution methods.
  • Familiarity with family law software (e.g. Capitalise, Quantum) desirable.
  • A proactive, collaborative team player with the ability to lead and inspire others.
