Senior Associate - Dispute Resolution (7-10 PQE)

An established and highly respected London-based law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join its Dispute Resolution department. This is a pivotal role for a commercially astute solicitor with 7-10 years' post-qualification experience in civil, property, and commercial litigation.
As part of a progressive and supportive team, you will work directly with the Head of Department, manage a high-value and diverse caseload, and play a key role in departmental growth through business development and mentoring of junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a complex caseload of civil, property, and commercial dispute resolution matters from instruction through to resolution.
  • Handle contentious probate and inheritance disputes with confidence and professionalism.
  • Provide strategic, solution-driven advice to clients, ensuring high levels of client care and satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with court and tribunal deadlines while maintaining rigorous file management and reporting standards.
  • Take responsibility for supervising and developing junior fee earners, trainees, and support staff.
  • Actively engage in networking and business development initiatives to attract new clients and drive growth in the department.
  • Meet and exceed set financial targets and contribute to the firm's continued success.

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales, with 7-10+ years' PQE in dispute resolution.
  • Strong track record of independently managing complex disputes and a mixed caseload.
  • Proven experience in contentious probate and inheritance claims.
  • A personal network of contacts and potential clients is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrable experience of mentoring or supervising junior lawyers or trainees.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to thrive under pressure with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Commercially aware with a client-focused, proactive approach.
  • Outstanding communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
