A well-established regional law firm with offices in Essex and London is seeking an experienced Residential Lawyer to join its Brentwood team. Recognised for its high standards and client-focused approach, the firm holds CQS accreditation and handles a broad mix of residential property transactions. This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive and progressive environment, with strong prospects for professional development.



The Role
The successful candidate will join a collaborative and high-performing residential property department, managing a broad caseload with appropriate supervision. The role involves handling transactions from instruction to post-completion and contributing to the team's ongoing success through client service and business development.



Key Responsibilities

  • Managing residential conveyancing transactions including:
    • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
    • New build acquisitions
    • High-value and complex property matters
    • Auction transactions
    • Remortgages, shared ownership, Help to Buy
    • Transfers of equity and personal guarantees
  • Ensuring files are progressed efficiently and in line with compliance requirements
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Participating in marketing, networking, and business development activities


Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in residential property law preferred (less experienced candidates with the right skills and potential may also be considered)
  • Sound technical knowledge of residential conveyancing procedures
  • Ability to manage files independently with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and client care focus
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive, solution-oriented approach
  • Confident in developing business and contributing to the firm's growth
