Python Developer - Data Structures - Algorythms - Infrastructure Automation - 12 month contract - London Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Do you have a strong grounding in Python development principles and a passion for infrastructure and automation?

I am working with a well known Banking client in Canary Wharf who are looking for a skilled and motivated Python Developer to join their Software Engineering team. You will be developing and maintaining bespoke automation tools to support their Electronic Trading infrastructure.

I am therefore looking for candidates who have

• Advanced proficiency in Python.
• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices.
• Confident in CLI-based workflows on Linux systems.
• Familiar with debugging tools and techniques at the system level.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and agile development methods.
• A proactive mindset and strong problem-solving ability.

Additional skills that are nice to have

• Familiarity with Ansible or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Exposure to Golang development.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, especially in managing computer or storage platforms.
• Previous experience in a regulated industry with strict security protocols.
