Procurement Manager - Government / Public Sector - 6 month contract - London Hybrid (3 days onsite)

I am working with a government client who is recruiting for an experienced Procurement Manager based in Central London. They operate hybrid working with 3 days working onsite and the rest remote. Due to the urgency and sensitivity of the project, candidates with active SC clearance will be prioritised.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a portfolio of procurements within corporate services, ensuring compliance with public sector procurement regulations.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to support departmental objectives and deliver value for money.
• Prepare and manage tender processes, contract negotiations, and supplier engagement activities.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to capture requirements and deliver procurement solutions aligned to business needs.
• Ensure all procurement activity meets audit, transparency, and governance standards.
• Support contract and supplier performance management post-award.

Essential Experience:

• Proven experience managing multiple, complex procurements within a public sector or government setting.
• Demonstrable track record managing procurements in corporate services categories (e.g. HR, finance, professional services).
• Excellent working knowledge of public procurement legislation and frameworks.
• Proficient in using Jaggaer (Bravo) eSourcing tools and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build effective working relationships across departments.
• Experience operating in a hybrid working environment with competing priorities and fast turnaround requirements.
