Private Client Solicitor (4+ PQE)

Location: Canterbury
Salary: Competitive | £70,000 - £90,000 total remuneration package
Working pattern: Full-time | Hybrid working available

We are recruiting for an experienced Private Client Solicitor (4+ PQE) to join a well-established and growing Private Client department based in Canterbury.

The Role

You will handle a broad and interesting Private Client caseload, including:

• Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Inheritance Tax planning

• Complex estates involving UK and overseas property and tax issues

• Court of Protection matters

• Trusts and agricultural estates

• Administration of straightforward probate matters, with complex cases referred to Partners as appropriate

You will also:

• Meet clients in the office, at home, in hospital, or remotely as required

• Play an active role in business development, networking and marketing events

• Supervise and support junior fee earners and trainees

• Maintain accurate time recording and comply with internal systems and procedures

• Attend departmental meetings and relevant training to maintain technical knowledge

About You

• Solicitor with 4+ years' PQE in Private Client work (applications from all experience levels considered)

• Strong technical grounding across core Private Client matters

• Comfortable advising clients on sensitive and complex issues

• Willing to contribute to supervision and development of junior team members

• Commercially aware with an interest in business development

• Professional client-focused approach
