Portfolio Support Analyst - PMO - Data - 12 month contract (inside IR 35) - London Hybrid (3 days onsite) - SC Clearance

I am looking for an experienced PMO / Portfolio Support Analyst to join a busy government department on a 12-month contract based in London. This is a hybrid role requiring three days onsite per week and you will support a portfolio of ongoing programmes through high-quality data capture, validation, and reporting.

Due to urgency and nature of the role candidates who are sole British Nationals and hold active SC clearance will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Capture, validate, and maintain accurate data across multiple projects and programmes
• Provide clear, timely reporting to support data-driven decision making
• Engage confidently with senior stakeholders across various teams to gather and challenge data inputs
• Support the wider portfolio team with analysis and insights to identify risks, issues, and trends
• Maintain and improve reporting tools and processes using Excel, Power BI, and Power Automate
• Contribute to the development of portfolio governance and assurance processes

Successful candidates will have

• Demonstrable experience in a Portfolio/Project Support or PMO Analyst role, ideally within the Public Sector
• Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities, with attention to accuracy and detail
• Advanced user of Excel, Power BI, and Power Automate
• Strong understanding of the project lifecycle and delivery frameworks
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to challenge and influence when needed
• Comfortable working in a client-facing role and managing senior stakeholder relationships
