About this role
PMO Analyst - Financial Services - Glasgow Hybrid (2-3 days onsite)
I have an immediate opportunity for an experienced PMO Analyst to work with our client in Glasgow.
You'll provide planning, analysis and reporting support across a portfolio of change, helping project and programme managers make informed decisions based on accurate data and forecasts. The role exists to bring consistency to planning standards, improve the quality of project information, and strengthen governance across the change community. You'll deal with detailed, complex plans, multiple stakeholders and a strong focus on tools, controls and financial forecasting, so this is well suited to someone comfortable operating in a regulated financial services setting.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage agreed planning standards across the change community, providing coaching and guidance to project managers and PMOs.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with internal stakeholders, with clear escalation routes to support prompt issue resolution.
- Act as subject matter expert for project, financial and commercial tools (including Navigator and Control), ensuring effective usage and resolving issues quickly.
- Review and challenge change control logs and impact assessments to confirm the impact of all change requests is fully analysed.
- Maintain RAID logs with up-to-date statuses, due dates, actions and recommendations throughout the life of the programme or project.
- Develop reports with complex analysis and metrics, using central reporting where available, to support programme and project management decision making.
What we're looking for
- Solid experience in a professional project or PMO environment, ideally within a matrix management structure.
- Strong influencing and networking skills, with the ability to build business relationships and shape opinions and actions.
- Comprehensive experience in professional communication, both written correspondence and face-to-face.
- Advanced Excel skills to produce effective MI reporting, with the ability to translate analysis into clear PowerPoint presentations.
- Extensive experience in analysis and problem solving, conceiving original and practical solutions and presenting them effectively to stakeholders.
- Good high-level understanding of how complex business needs interface with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to manage priorities, multi-task and deliver accurately at speed.
- Financial services industry experience, and familiarity with Prince2/PMI methodologies or Visual Basic, would be beneficial.
