Project Manager - Service Introduction & Release Readiness
Glasgow (Remote)
£450 p/d inside

We're seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead Service Introduction and Production Readiness for a major enterprise program launching Q1. This role ensures a seamless transition from delivery to live operations, with no disruption to customers or business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and execute the Service Introduction Plan, covering acceptance, cutover, and early-life support.
  • Coordinate readiness across tech, ops, infrastructure, service desk, and vendors.
  • Ensure documentation, support models, SOPs, CMDB, and escalation paths are complete.
  • Manage release readiness: testing, data migration, DR, monitoring, security, and go-live governance.
  • Lead risk/dependency management and Early Life Support post-deployment.
  • Drive readiness reporting and stakeholder engagement across delivery and operations.
  • Leverage ServiceNow and Jira for change, asset, and incident management.
  • Oversee access and disaster recovery planning for critical services.


Essential Skills:

  • 8+ years in IT project management, including 3+ in service introduction/release roles.
  • Track record of leading large-scale enterprise go-lives (ideally in regulated sectors).
  • Strong grasp of ITIL (Service Transition), change/release governance.
  • Skilled in multi-vendor environments and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficient in ServiceNow, Jira, CMDB, and DR planning.


Desirable:

  • ITIL v4, PMP/PRINCE2 certifications.
  • Agile/DevOps and CI/CD exposure.
  • Experience in healthcare, insurance, or financial services.
  • Cloud or hybrid infrastructure familiarity (Azure, AWS, IBM i).
