Responsibilities

• Advise on all aspects of DB and DC occupational pension schemes, including investment strategies, de-risking, consolidators, master trusts, and pensions litigation.

• Manage high-profile client matters, providing technical and commercial guidance, and building strong client relationships.

• Mentor and supervise junior lawyers, supporting their professional development within a collaborative team.

• Keep up-to-date with regulatory and industry developments, contributing to shaping pensions law and policy.

• Work closely with colleagues across employment, corporate, and regulatory teams on complex, multi-jurisdictional projects.

Requirements

• Qualified pensions lawyer with 4-7 years' post-qualification experience, with strong expertise in Defined Benefit schemes; experience with Defined Contribution schemes is desirable.

• Proven ability to manage complex matters independently, demonstrating commercial awareness and technical precision.

• Excellent client management, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Experience in mentoring or supervising junior lawyers in a collaborative, high-performing environment.

• Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive, client-focused approach.
