Principal Mechanical Design Engineer

📍 £40,000 - £60,000 depending on experience

We're on the lookout for talented Mechanical Design Engineers to help us take on a growing and exciting pipeline of projects. From shaping future concepts to supporting products already in service, you'll have the chance to work across the entire product lifecycle - and make a real impact at every stage.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Working on end-to-end mechanical design from early concepts and detailed design, through to qualification, production, and in-service support.

• Leading design work packages and collaborating closely with multi-disciplinary teams across engineering and manufacturing.

• Engaging with suppliers and external partners to support design and development activity.

• Driving continuous improvement, ensuring your designs are robust, efficient, and fit for purpose.

What We're Looking For:
✔️ A Degree, HND or HNC in Mechanical Engineering or similar
✔️ Proven experience in one or more of the following:
  * Mechanisms
  * Structural design
  * Assembly & integration
  * Concept development
✔️ Confident communicator who can influence and collaborate across teams
✔️ Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional teams
✔️ Familiarity with CAD/CAE tools (training can be provided)
✔️ Awareness of structural, thermal or dynamic analysis (a plus)
