PMO Analyst - Public Sector - Data Analysis - 6 months - London Hybrid - SC Clearance

I have an immediate opportunity for an experienced PMO Analyst with strong data analysis expertise to join a busy team. This role will play a pivotal part in supporting data-driven decision making, strengthening the PMO function, and driving improvements across planning, governance, and reporting.

Due to the urgency and nature of the role, candidates who hold sole British Nationality and active SC clearance will be preferred.

Core responsibilities:

• Analyse and interpret large and complex data sets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Provide robust support in project and portfolio planning, budget tracking, and resource forecasting.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of PMO tools, processes, and frameworks.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting to enable effective governance and oversight.
• Partner with project and programme teams to deliver high-quality analysis and insight.

Skills and experience required:

• Proven experience within a PMO function, ideally supporting large or complex programmes.
• Strong background in data analysis, with the ability to work confidently with large data sets.
• Advanced skills in Excel and other relevant data/visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience of planning, tracking budgets, and portfolio-level reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to translate data into clear and meaningful insights.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Previous experience of working on public sector / government programmes would be an advantage.
