Key Description:

We are seeking an IT Release & Environments Lead to join our insurance clients IT team. Reporting to the Infrastructure Delivery Manager, you will ensure Production and Non-Production Environments (Dev, Test, Integration, E2E) are effectively managed, governed, and fit for purpose for use by development, testing, data, business-as-usual, and project teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with development, testing, infrastructure, and delivery teams to define environment requirements at each stage of the lifecycle

• Championing FinOps practices to manage and optimise infrastructure spend

• Developing and maintaining environment reporting and documentation

• Coordinating the delivery of environments across development, testing, integration, and production

• Working with technical specialists to define and document best practice standards

• Supporting continuous improvement, including automation, new tools, and technology upgrades

• Providing release management support and consultation to teams, service providers, and vendors

Skills & experience:

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)

• Experience in cloud cost monitoring and optimisation is desirable

• Understanding of IT release and environment management best practices (or willingness to learn)

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Able to commute to London 2-3 times per week (if more, then ideal)
