An established and highly successful organisation is looking to hire a Network & Security Engineer to join its growing Infrastructure function.

You'll be joining a high-performing Network Infrastructure team and will become the third member of a close-knit specialist function responsible for supporting and evolving a large-scale enterprise network environment.

This role offers an excellent blend of BAU support and project delivery, making it ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting and operational ownership whilst also contributing to infrastructure improvements, network upgrades and security initiatives.

Working across a complex enterprise estate, you'll gain exposure to networking, security, cloud connectivity, data centre technologies and future transformation projects.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting, maintaining and improving enterprise LAN, WAN and wireless environments.
  • Managing network performance, availability and connectivity across multiple locations.
  • Administering firewall and network security technologies.
  • Supporting secure remote access, VPN connectivity and network segmentation initiatives.
  • Troubleshooting complex network and security-related incidents.
  • Working across both BAU operational support and infrastructure project delivery.
  • Assisting with network upgrades, security enhancements and transformation initiatives.
  • Working closely with third-party suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintaining network documentation, diagrams and operational procedures.
  • Supporting change, incident and problem management processes.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience working within a large-scale enterprise networking environment.
  • Strong networking knowledge across routing, switching and wireless technologies.
  • Experience supporting firewall technologies and network security controls.
  • Good understanding of cyber security principles, secure access and network segmentation.
  • Experience balancing both BAU operational responsibilities and project-based work.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, close-knit technical team.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence is essential.

Highly Desirable

  • CCNP Enterprise or equivalent enterprise networking experience.
  • CCNP Security or equivalent security-focused networking experience.
  • Palo Alto PCNSA or PCNSE certifications.
  • Experience with Cisco Firepower Management Centre (FMC) and next-generation firewall technologies.
  • Experience with Cisco ISE, 802.1X, MAB and identity-based network access control.
  • Exposure to SD-WAN technologies (Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto or similar).
  • Experience supporting Cisco Nexus data centre environments.
  • Experience with F5 BIG-IP / Local Traffic Manager (LTM).
  • Exposure to AWS and Azure networking.
  • Experience using SolarWinds or similar enterprise monitoring platforms.

Whilst certifications are not essential, candidates holding certifications such as CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Security, PCNSA or PCNSE will be highly regarded.

Why Join?

  • Join a growing team and become the third member of a highly skilled Network Infrastructure function.
  • Work within a complex enterprise-scale environment.
  • Gain exposure to both strategic infrastructure projects and day-to-day operational ownership.
  • Excellent office environment in a modern West London location.
  • Strong company culture with a collaborative and supportive team.
  • Hybrid working model with 2 days per week from home.
  • Stable organisation continuing to invest heavily in technology and infrastructure.
