International Arbitration Lawyer

Position: Associate (2-4PQE)

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a talented mid-level lawyer (2-4 PQE) to join a leading International Arbitration practice based in London.

The Firm
This opportunity is with one of the world's preeminent law firms, headquartered in the United States, they are known for handling the most complex and high-stakes legal matters across jurisdictions. With a long-standing reputation for excellence in disputes, transactions, and regulatory matters, they advise leading corporations, financial institutions, and sovereign clients on their most critical issues.

The Role
You will play a key role in advising clients on high-value, complex international disputes across a wide range of sectors, including energy, construction, infrastructure, telecommunications, and financial services. The team acts in both commercial and investment treaty arbitrations under the major arbitral rules (including ICC, LCIA, ICSID, and UNCITRAL) and frequently handles parallel court proceedings and enforcement actions across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising on all stages of arbitration proceedings, from strategy and case development to hearings and enforcement.
  • Drafting submissions, witness statements, and expert reports.
  • Managing client relationships and liaising with counsel, experts, and international tribunals.
  • Contributing to the team's business development initiatives and knowledge sharing.


Your Experience
We are seeking an outstanding candidate with:

  • 2-4 years' post-qualification experience in international arbitration at a leading firm.
  • Strong academic credentials and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience handling complex arbitration matters, including procedural and substantive issues.
  • A commercial mindset, with the ability to think strategically and provide practical, client-focused advice.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach, with a commitment to excellence and high professional standards.
