The Role

As an Immigration Solicitor, you will manage a caseload focusing primarily on Asylum, Human Rights, and Appeals work. You will act for vulnerable clients and their families, guiding them through complex legal processes with professionalism and empathy. The role will also involve preparing appeal bundles, representing clients before tribunals, and ensuring all work complies with regulatory standards.
This position is 100% office-based at the firm's Stratford office. Please note there is no hybrid or remote working for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Handling a caseload of asylum, human rights, and immigration appeal matters.
• Preparing detailed legal submissions, applications, and appeal bundles.
• Representing clients at First-tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal hearings.
• Advising clients with sensitivity and professionalism on their rights and options.
• Ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and Legal Aid requirements.
• Maintaining the firm's high standards of client care and service delivery.

About You

• Qualified Solicitor with experience in Immigration Law (Asylum and Appeals essential).
• Previous experience with Legal Aid immigration work is highly desirable.
• Strong advocacy, drafting, and case preparation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload efficiently while working to tight deadlines.
