Family Solicitor (NQ-4 PQE)

Location: Southampton
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Working pattern: Full-time (35 hours) | Hybrid working available

We are recruiting for a Family Solicitor (NQ-4 PQE) to join a top-tier, Legal 500 ranked Family team based in Southampton.

The Role

You will join a well-established Family department with a strong regional reputation, handling a varied caseload with supervision and support from senior colleagues. The work includes:

• Financial matters arising from divorce

• Children matters

• Cohabitation disputes

• Pre- and post-nuptial agreements

• Complex financial cases, including rural and agricultural family matters

You will also be encouraged to take part in business development and networking activities, with the firm actively supporting junior lawyers in building their profile and long-term career.

About You

• Newly Qualified Solicitor with relevant Family seats or Assistant Solicitor up to 4 years' PQE

• Experience or strong exposure to private Family law

• Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload

• Strong communication skills with a client-focused approach

• Comfortable seeking supervision and support when needed

• Interest in business development and relationship building

• A collaborative team player with ambition to progress
