Head of Private Client Department - Solicitor (STEP Qualified) -London (Hybrid)
A well-established, nationally recognised law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to lead and grow its new Private Client Department based in London. This is a unique opportunity to build and head a dynamic team while managing a diverse and complex caseload in wills, probate, trusts, estate administration, and powers of attorney.

The Role
As Head of Private Client, you will:
- Lead and develop the Private Client team, providing mentorship and direction.
- Manage complex private client matters, including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection, Trusts, and Probate.
- Deliver exceptional client service, overseeing matters from instruction to completion.
- Supervise junior staff, paralegals, and assistants.
- Build strong client relationships and expand the department's profile and offering.
The Ideal Candidate
- STEP Qualified (or working towards).
- Minimum 10 years PQE with demonstrable experience in private client law.
- Expertise in Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, Powers of Attorney, and Trusts.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and build a high-performing team.
- Strong client care focus with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Vision to grow the Private Client Department within a multi-office firm.
