A boutique, Legal 500-ranked firm is looking to appoint a 6+ PQE Family Lawyer as Head of Department in its Tunbridge Wells office.

This role offers the platform to lead, grow and shape the Family team, with full involvement in recruitment strategy and the opportunity to handpick your own support staff and fee earners.

The Opportunity

• Take a leading role in department strategy and growth

• Build and develop a high-performing Family team

• Encourage collaborative billing across the department

• Contribute to and benefit from the firm's Emerging Leaders programme

Caseload

The work will include:

• Divorce and separation

• Complex financial matters

• Child arrangements

• Unmarried couples

• Domestic abuse

• Surrogacy & modern families

About You

• 6+ PQE in Family Law

• Commercially aware and growth-focused

• Experienced in complex financial remedy matters

• Strong leadership and mentoring capability

• Business development confidence

Bonus Structure

• 32% of gross salary bonus on achieving billable hours target

• Paid quarterly

• Billable target can be achieved through collaborative departmental billing
