Enterprise Architect - Digital Transformation - Government - 12 month contract (inside IR35) - South West England

I am looking for an Enterprise Architects to join a major government programme driving digital transformation at scale. This is a chance to shape strategy, influence delivery, and make decisions that matter.

Due the nature of the client and urgency of the role, candidates with active SC clearance would be preferred.

What you'll be doing:

• Create and maintain clear architecture strategies and roadmaps that connect business goals with technology outcomes
• Lead initiatives that cut across teams and accelerate delivery
• Provide expert guidance on design decisions to ensure scalability, resilience and cost-effectiveness
• Work closely with senior stakeholders to align priorities and reduce risk
• Keep ahead of industry trends and bring fresh thinking to the organisation

What we're looking for:

• A Background in enterprise architecture within large, complex environments, ideally within government / public sector environments
• Excellent communicator who can influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels
• Strong experience in governance, risk management and shaping architectural standards
• Commercial awareness and ability to evaluate suppliers
• Leadership skills to build and grow architecture capability

Qualifications:

• TOGAF or ISEB essential
• Plus one of: ITIL, IT4IT or COBIT
