Position Available: Electronic Design Engineer

Location: Hertfordshire - Hybrid

Salary: Up to £48,000 (DoE) + Bonus

Experience needed: We're looking for a highly skilled Electronic Design Engineer with demonstrable experience in both analogue and digital electronics. This is a hands-on, board-level design role for engineers who can take ownership of complex projects from concept through to production.

About the role:

You will be responsible for the full electronic design lifecycle, including schematic capture, prototyping, functional testing, and industrial validation. You will work closely with other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of electronics into products and maintain performance, reliability, and compliance standards.

This role also offers the chance to contribute to research, continuous improvement, and capability-building initiatives within the Electronics Engineering function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of end-to-end board-level design, including analogue and digital schematics, prototyping, testing, and validation
• Apply circuit simulation, DFMEA, and other engineering methods to ensure robust, reliable designs
• Support the product lifecycle from feasibility through to production handover, including industrial validation and quality assurance
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate electronics effectively into systems
• Identify design improvements and contribute to continuous development of engineering practices

What we need from you:

• Proven, hands-on experience in electronic design and delivery of complex systems
• Strong knowledge of analogue and digital electronics, and a range of technologies and products
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects, make decisions, and solve technical challenges independently
• Experience in circuit simulation, DFMEA, prototyping, and testing methodologies
• Excellent collaboration skills within multi-disciplinary teams, with the ability to influence design outcomes
