We are working with a top-tier, award-winning multidisciplinary law firm to recruit two Court of Protection solicitors to join its highly regarded Public Law and Human Rights department.


The firm is widely recognised for its excellence in complex, socially significant legal work and acts for a diverse client base including NGOs, public bodies, public figures, and private individuals. Its lawyers are consistently ranked by the legal directories and known for their expertise, innovation, and commitment to access to justice.


The Roles


The Court of Protection team is expanding and is seeking dynamic and experienced solicitors to handle a substantial and high-quality Court of Protection caseload. There will also be limited scope to undertake related public law work, depending on experience and interest, including:

  • Education law
  • Community care
  • Healthcare challenges
  • Judicial review
  • Inquests representing bereaved families
  • Civil claims


Candidates must be able to demonstrate significant experience running their own Court of Protection caseload. Subject to this requirement, applications are welcomed from lawyers at all levels, including Associates and Partners.


Available Positions

  • Position 1: 12-month locum maternity cover, commencing January / February 2026
  • Position 2: Permanent role, offering the opportunity to develop a varied, intellectually stimulating practice within a leading public law team

Candidate Profile


Successful candidates are likely to have:

  • Strong experience in Court of Protection work, including autonomous case management
  • Excellent judgement, technical ability, and client-care skills
  • An interest in the intersection between Court of Protection, public law, and human rights
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to high professional standards
