Solicitor - Contentious Probate (NQ - 2 PQE) | Reading & Hybrid

A leading regional law firm with a strong presence across the Thames Valley is looking to recruit a junior Solicitor (NQ - 2 years' PQE) to join its highly regarded Dispute Resolution team, specialising in contentious probate matters. The role

You will assist senior solicitors and partners with a wide range of contentious probate cases, as well as managing your own caseload as you progress. Work will include:

• Disputes concerning the validity of wills and lifetime gifts
• Claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975
• Executor/Trustee disputes and breach of trust claims
• Professional negligence claims relating to estate administration
• Disputes involving complex estates with business and international assets

About you

• Qualified Solicitor (NQ - 2 years' PQE) with experience or strong interest in contentious probate
• A minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree in Law (or equivalent qualifying degree) is required
• ACTAPS membership (or working towards this) is highly desirable
• Excellent technical ability with strong drafting, research and advocacy skills
• Strong academic background and demonstrable commitment to contentious probate as a specialism
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build long-term client relationships
