We are seeking a Contentious Insurance Associate to join a top-tier Legal 500 firm in central London. Responsibilities

• Advise insurers and financial institutions on a broad range of insurance policies, regulatory matters, and commercial disputes.

• Lead or contribute to contentious claims, arbitrations, and director-level investigations, ensuring high-quality delivery to clients.

• Manage FOS complaints, policyholder disputes, and the drafting or implementation of remediation schemes.

• Work closely with partners, legal directors, and senior associates on complex cross-border matters, providing clear, practical advice.

• Utilise case management systems, regulatory frameworks, and internal knowledge-sharing tools to support efficient and accurate work.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor with 2-8 years PQE in insurance, financial services, or contentious disputes.

• Strong technical expertise in insurance law, litigation, and regulatory matters, with excellent commercial awareness.

• Proven ability to manage client relationships and develop trusted adviser status with senior stakeholders.

• Exceptional communication, organisational, and team-working skills.

• Business development experience and a proactive approach to growing your own practice.
