Role Summary
We are seeking a high-calibre AWS Data Engineer to join a major financial services project focused on enhancing global fraud detection capabilities. This mission-critical initiative involves migrating high-performance systems from Aerospike to AWS cloud-native architectures, leveraging Databricks for advanced back-testing.

Technical Skills Required

  • Cloud & Databases: Strong AWS expertise, specifically with cloud-native stores, relational stores, and caching (DynamoDB, Redis, Postgres).
  • Streaming: Proficiency in Kafka for real-time data streaming and integration.
  • Languages: Solid backend development skills in Java and NodeJS.
  • Database Migration: Working knowledge of Aerospike and its data model is a significant advantage.
  • Architecture: Hands-on experience in microservices-based distributed environments (service orchestration/inter-service communication).
  • DevOps/QA: CI/CD proficiency (Jenkins/GitHub) and rigorous testing (JUnit, Jest, PyTest).

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and deliver PoCs related to real-time fraud detection.
  • Lead the migration of data and services from Aerospike to AWS native databases.
  • Integrate Databricks-based back-testing into the fraud detection pipeline.
  • Collaborate with architects to ensure seamless integration with existing distributed systems.
  • Take full ownership of backlog tasks within an Agile/Scrum environment.
