  • Google Cast Integration: Optimize and debug Cast performance on embedded Android platforms.

  • Wi-Fi Stack Debugging: Troubleshoot complex connectivity issues including authentication, roaming, and signal stability.

  • Network Optimization: Fine-tune Quality of Service (QoS), buffer management, and channel selection for media streaming.

  • Supplicant Expertise: Address issues in wpa_supplicant related to authentication, encryption, and wireless network transitions.

  • Driver & Chipset Work: Collaborate on low-level integration and debugging involving popular Wi-Fi chipsets (e.g., Qualcomm, Broadcom).

  • 10+ years of experience in Android development, with a strong focus on AOSP and the Wi-Fi stack.

  • Deep hands-on experience flashing AOSP onto embedded devices, including customizations in Java and C/C++.

  • Proficiency debugging the Android Wi-Fi framework and middleware components.

  • Experience modifying or extending the Linux Wi-Fi driver or kernel-level networking components.

  • Strong understanding of how beacons, probe requests/responses, and wireless scanning contribute to connectivity.

  • Familiarity with casting technologies such as Google Cast, AirPlay, or Miracast is a plus.

  • Solid skills in C++, Java, and/or Kotlin.

  • Proficiency using tools like adb, logcat, Wireshark, and kernel debugging utilities.
