📱 Android Power and Performance Engineer

We're helping a product engineering team hire an experienced Android system-level engineer to optimise performance and power consumption across embedded devices running Linux and Android.

This is a hands-on, lab-based role working on real hardware - tuning CPU governors, managing thermal profiles, and profiling Android OS subsystems to squeeze every drop of performance and battery life from complex SoCs.

🧠 What You'll Be Doing

• Deep-dive performance and power tuning on Android/Linux embedded platforms
• Optimising CPU governor settings, thermal behaviour, and power profiles
• Conducting profiling and analysis across Android software stack
• Working closely with hardware, validation, and firmware teams
• Supporting early silicon bring-up and development board testing
• Analysing SoC behaviour (power rails, frequency scaling, system load response)

🛠️ What You'll Need

• 3-5+ years of system-level Android or embedded Linux experience
• Direct experience with Android OS internals, thermal and power profiling tools
• Strong knowledge of CPU governors, power rails, frequency scaling, and SoC architecture
• Fluency in C++, Python, and performance debugging workflows
• Comfortable with on-site work in Bellevue, WA
• US work authorisation (sponsorship is not available)

• Familiarity with Android HAL or kernel modules
• Exposure to camera, graphics, or audio subsystems in Android
• Board bring-up experience with ARM-based SoCs
