ABAP Developer

Location: Edinburgh (3 days on-site) Rate: £400-£425 per day (Inside IR35) Contract Length: 6-month initial contract

We are looking for an experienced ABAP Developer to join our client's on-premise SAP team in Edinburgh. This role is a crucial part of a migration project, combining both code analysis and hands-on development. You will be instrumental in preparing the existing codebase for a future move, making this an ideal opportunity for a professional who enjoys working on significant transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse and document existing ABAP code to understand its functionality and dependencies.

• Develop and modify ABAP programs, reports, and enhancements as part of the pre-migration preparation.

• Work closely with technical and functional teams to ensure code is robust and ready for migration.

• Conduct thorough unit testing and support system integration testing (SIT).

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as an ABAP Developer with a strong understanding of multiple SAP modules.

• Demonstrable experience with both code analysis and new development.

• Proficiency in ABAP Objects, BAPIs, and Enhancement Framework.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to project work.

• Experience in an on-premise SAP environment
