Wow, a lot has been going on behind the scenes at Henderson Scott and we’re excited to finally share it all with you!
Starting with Amersham, our head office and the first to be established out of all locations.
Our Amersham office remains in the same location, however, we wanted our employees to return to a refreshed, more home-from-home environment, rather than it being quite so corporate. Home working has become a huge part of many people’s lives now and we wanted to make sure that when our employees returned to the office, it wasn’t such a massive adjustment.
Amersham already featured a Nespresso coffee machine and fresh fruit is always available throughout the week but to make the office a more relaxed environment we sectioned off a whole part of it dedicated to games and chilling out over lunch breaks. Our chill out area includes a dart board, putting green and a PlayStation, with a few favourite games such as Fifa and COD!
We celebrated the return to our refreshed office on 24th May, starting the day with Nespresso coffees and posh pastries all round. Just before everyone’s pre ordered personal Domino’s pizza’s arrived for lunch, we popped the champagne and raised a glass to our new chill out area, with our CEO Mark Bailey cutting the blue ribbon that surrounded it, to declare it officially open!
It was a fantastic, poignant day, returning to our head office, seeing our employees all back together and enjoying the new features we have to offer.
Our London office launch was next and it was a fabulous affair!
We moved out of the busy city in Monument and into a brand new office across the river, in the bustling heart of London Bridge, right next to Burrough Market.
We have the whole top floor of the Flat Iron Building, which features a veranda circling it with views over Burrough Market and the Flat Iron Square. It’s a beautiful, light, open space which our employees are thoroughly enjoying working in. And, similar to Amersham, we wanted our London office to also feature a chill out area, so we’ve kitted it out with a PlayStation 5 and a table tennis/air hockey/pool table all in one!
The new office officially opened on 8th June, kicking off with Buck’s Fizz and posh pastries on arrival. We enjoyed fresh coffee from their bean-to-cup coffee machine and bacon butties for a mid-morning snack. Our CEO, Mark, arrived just in time for the building’s office management team, KITT, to bring us a welcome gift of doughnuts. KITT have bent over backwards to accommodate us, from the moment we moved into the building they’ve catered to all our needs. Our Tennant Experience Lead, Zoe, has been fantastic throughout the whole process and the office environment wouldn’t be at the high standard it is without her!
To celebrate everyone being reunited, the office closed early and everyone headed across the road to the Flat Iron Square for drinks in the Apres Veranda. Despite it being a Tuesday, the celebratory drinks were flowing. There may have been a few sore heads in the office on Wednesday…!
