We are currently supporting a major organisation in Glasgow who are looking to appoint an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of complex technology and platform change initiatives across a large enterprise environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly credible technical delivery professional with strong stakeholder management capabilities and a background delivering infrastructure, platform, DevOps or cloud-related programmes within complex organisations.
The role will suit someone who is comfortable operating across both technical and business teams, able to bring structure and ownership to delivery activity, and capable of driving multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of complex technical and infrastructure-related projects and programmes
- Work closely with engineering, platform, DevOps and third-party supplier teams
- Manage plans, dependencies, RAID logs, governance and delivery reporting
- Coordinate delivery across multiple internal teams and vendors
- Drive programme activity at pace while maintaining strong governance and stakeholder communication
- Support continuous improvement and modern delivery practices across technology teams
- Build strong relationships with senior technical and non-technical stakeholders
Key Experience Required:
- Strong background in Technical Project Management, Technical Programme Management or IT Delivery Management
- Experience delivering infrastructure, platform, cloud or DevOps-related change initiatives
- Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD and modern engineering delivery environments
- Experience working within complex enterprise-scale environments
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and drive delivery with minimal oversight
- Experience managing third-party suppliers and cross-functional technology teams
- Strong governance, planning and reporting capabilities
Desirable Experience:
- Cloud platform experience (Azure / AWS)
- Experience working within regulated environments such as Financial Services or large enterprise organisations
- Exposure to automation, Infrastructure-as-Code or platform engineering environments
- Experience working across Microsoft, Oracle or enterprise platform ecosystems
