Job Title: Business Analyst - IT Observability (SC & NPPV3 Cleared) Location: UK-Based (Mandatory) Clearance: Active Home Office SC & NPPV3 (Strictly Mandatory)
The Role We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to drive the delivery of a brand-new IT Observability Service. This critical project will enhance performance management and visibility across complex applications and infrastructure.
You will bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring monitoring, alerting, and reporting capabilities meet overarching strategic needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Gather, analyse, and document functional and non-functional requirements.

Define clear observability use cases, workflows, data needs, and integration paths.

Facilitate workshops and act as the core translator between technical and business stakeholders.

Support the design of processes for event handling, alerting, dashboards, and monitoring.

Produce robust documentation (user stories, process maps, service definitions).

Champion service adoption, onboarding, and testing activities.
Essential Skills & Experience:

Proven track record as a Business Analyst within complex IT or digital transformation programmes.

Solid conceptual understanding of IT monitoring, logging, and observability.

Experience working with enterprise observability tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Datadog, Splunk).

Familiarity with Cloud platforms and ITIL service management processes.

Knowledge of AIOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.

Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate dense technical details into plain, actionable business language.
