A respected regional law firm is looking to recruit an 3+ Employment (Solicitor / Associate / CILEX) to join its established Employment team in Bournemouth.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced employment lawyer to become part of a collaborative and commercially focused practice, advising a broad range of clients on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. The team is recognised for delivering pragmatic, solutions-focused advice and offers exposure to high-quality work, strong client relationships, and genuine opportunities for career progression.
The Role
You will work closely with colleagues across the wider firm while managing your own caseload and supporting a diverse client base on a wide range of employment law issues.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising employers and individuals on a broad spectrum of employment law matters
- Managing Employment Tribunal claims and employment-related litigation
- Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, handbooks, and settlement agreements
- Advising on disciplinary, grievance, capability, restructuring, and termination matters
- Conducting legal research and developing practical solutions to complex workplace issues
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Handling new enquiries and identifying opportunities to support clients across multiple practice areas
- Contributing to knowledge-sharing initiatives and team development
- Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues where appropriate
- Participating in networking, marketing, and business development activities
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years' PQE in Employment Law
- Strong experience managing a varied employment law caseload
- The ability to run matters independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent technical, drafting, and communication skills
- A pragmatic and commercially minded approach
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities
- A proactive, resilient, and team-oriented attitude
- A commitment to delivering exceptional client service
- An interest in business development and growing client relationships
Experience in immigration law, or an interest in developing expertise in this area, would be advantageous but is not essential.
