A leading UK law firm is seeking an experienced Construction Disputes Solicitor (7+ PQE) to join its well-regarded Construction team in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior disputes lawyer to work on high-value, complex construction matters for a broad client base that includes developers, contractors, consultants, funders, and high-net-worth individuals.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
Handle a varied caseload of construction and engineering disputes, including litigation, arbitration, adjudication, and other forms of ADR
Advise on disputes arising from major construction projects, professional negligence claims, delay and disruption, defects, and payment issues
Take a lead role on complex matters, with responsibility for strategy, client management, and supervision of junior lawyers
Play an active role in business development and strengthening client relationships
Contribute to the ongoing growth and profile of the Construction disputes practice
The Candidate
The firm is looking for a solicitor who:
Has 7+ years' PQE gained at a recognised construction or disputes practice
Possesses strong technical expertise in construction disputes and a solid understanding of standard form contracts (e.g. JCT, NEC, FIDIC)
Is confident managing matters autonomously while working collaboratively within a team
Demonstrates strong commercial awareness and excellent client-facing skills
Is ambitious, proactive, and keen to contribute to the long-term development of the practice
