Senior Billing Lead
The Role
As the Senior Billing Lead, you will take ownership of a small team responsible for managing customer billing queries, credit adjustments, and refunds. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will act as a key contact between billing, sales, and customer support, and driving improvements in processes.
This role involves managing an offshore team, supporting and mentoring staff, and improving workflows. You'll have the freedom to make changes and help shape the billing function to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Leading and supporting a team of three to maintain strong performance and engagement.
- Helping with month-end billing and financial tasks.
- Analysing billing data and handling credit notes and refunds.
- Making sure invoices and customer tasks are processed on time and accurately.
- Resolving customer and supplier queries while building good relationships.
- Training the team on new processes and promoting best practices.
- Contributing to finance projects and suggesting improvements.

The Person
You are a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in billing and finance. Your ability to manage teams, solve problems, and improve processes sets you apart.
- Experience leading teams, ideally in billing or finance operations.
- Strong background in billing; experience in telecoms or tech is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Familiarity with systems like NetSuite, Sage, or similar.
- Keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines under pressure.
- Great communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience improving processes and implementing best practices.
