Mainframe Engineer - OPSMVS - CA - REXX - 6 months - UK based remote working available

I have an immediate opportunity for a Mainframe Engineer to join an ongoing migration project moving from Broadcom to BMC products. This is a 6-month contract role, offering fully remote working, but applicants must be based in the UK.

You will provide specialist support for Mainframe automation and output management, develop and maintain dashboards and alerts, and create test cases to validate existing and new functionality. Focus will be on systems administration and automation rather than operations.

I am keen to speak with candidate who have:

• Strong knowledge of Mainframe systems, including:
  • OPSMVS
  • CA-View and CA-Deliver
  • REXX
  • General Mainframe operations (JCL, ISPF, JES2, z/OS)
• Proven experience with Mainframe System Automation software administration.

Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with:
  • BMC AMI Ops Automation and Control-M Output Management
  • I-Dash for CA7 administration
  • SAS, REST APIs, and Windows Server
  • ServiceNow and ITIL processes
  • Agile methodologies
  • Basic web coding and file transfer protocols
  • Splunk dashboards and alerts
